Apple Pie Green smoothie? You didn’t see this one coming, did you?
This smoothie is easy to make and tastes like a slice of apple pie! Yum! The combination of apple with the cinnamon really brings out the “apple pie” flavour so it’s the perfect smoothie to satisfy your sweet tooth!
But the best thing about this smoothie goes far beyond how delicious it is. It’s also super healthy, nourishing and full of goodness!
Apples are rich in fibre, antioxidants (hello glowing skin!) and boost up the immune system. They also aid weight loss and help control a healthy weight and protect the body against heart-related diseases.
Cinnamon aids digestion, wards off cold and flu viruses and contains anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties.
The leafy green I used for this smoothie is spinach, which is high in vitamin C, E and K and the minerals magnesium, calcium and iron.
2 cups of spinach
3 pink lady apples
1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
1 cup of almond milk
Blend the spinach with the almond milk until smooth
Add the apples and blend again
Add the date and bananas
Lastly, add the cinnamon and blend everything together until smooth
Serve and Enjoy!
