You may use frozen bananas or fresh bananas. If you want it extra thick and creamy then using frozen bananas will do the trick.
To freeze bananas, first, make sure your bananas are ripe, then peel them and put them in freezer bags and freeze overnight.By the way having a bunch of frozen in the freezer is so handy for adding in smoothies to make them thick and creamy and also to make some dairy-free ice cream.

Spinach & Banana Green Smoothie
1-2 Cup of Spinach
1 Celery sticks
1 granny smith Apple
Juice of half a lemon
1 cup of water
1.Blend the spinach with water until smooth
2.Add celery sticks and apples and blend again
3. Add the pear, bananas and squeeze the juice of half a lemon and blend until smooth.
